OX Amp Top Box Reviews

The ox is an ingenious device, and wonderful to use. The tones I've gotten from my unit with my AC30TB/6 are exactly what my ears demanded. The tones are equally great when I've played it with other amps, be they Fender or Marshall. However, the frustration of using the hardware in its current state is very real. UA has abandoned the product's software development. Do not expect any future speaker cabs, mics, or features. I wish we'd get a Hiwatt 4x12, more Fender cabs like a dual showman 2x15, or super reverb 4x10. It will never happen though. UA barely managed to add midi to their line of pedals. The ox is basically done.

This is arguably the best piece of gear I’ve ever bought for live use with my rig. It sounds amazing and it’s very user friendly.

However, I am really disappointed with UA and their lack of updates for this unit. I’d love to see a Super Reverb cabinet. There are plenty of other combos out there with different speaker combinations that you could add to the library. Other microphones and effects.

For such an expensive piece of gear that initially suggested that updates were planned I feel you’ve all but forgotten this device.
