Its a pretty great emulation of the real deal. I've bought this and stacked it up against the competition and wow, the Ampex ATR-102 beat them all out. If you're shaky on it, try out the demo and if you dig it, pick it up!

The UAD Ampex ATR-102 sounds fantastic. The presets are inspiring, the tape character is excellent, and it has quickly become one of our favorite tools for adding depth, warmth, and character to our productions.
We are currently using it on a MacBook Air M1 with Ableton Live 12.
One issue we noticed recently: after updating our Mac to macOS 27, the tape reels/animation in the ATR-102 interface are no longer visible. The plugin continues to process audio correctly and the presets work normally, so the issue appears to be limited to the graphical animation/interface.
Could this be related to the new macOS update? Does the ATR-102 need a software update or compatibility update for macOS 27?
Aside from this graphical issue, we are extremely happy with the plugin and the sound it delivers.
